A Severe Case Healed
I always receive some benefit from the demonstrations given in the Journal and Sentinel, and I appreciate them so much that the testimonies constitute my first reading when the Journal or Sentinel arrives.
In order to give of my store I wish to relate how I was healed of sciatic rheumatism, which made its appearance soon after I came into Science. The entire right side was affected from the foot to the shoulder. The swelling was so severe that I was unable to turn over in bed without help, and the pain was so intense that for several nights I was unable to sleep. It did not seem as if I could find relief, but Christian Science was used from the start and I had decided to give it a fair trial. The healing was slow but thorough, and within two weeks I was as well as ever.
This was in the spring, and when I told some of my friends that Christian Science was the only remedy I used, they were inclined to make light of it and said, "Wait until cold weather comes, and you will find you are not so free from it as you think." This was four years ago, and no sign of its return in any form has been manifested. I am indeed grateful to Christian Science and to our dear Mother for her efforts in our behalf.
