To the Editor of The Post.
Sir:—May I ask space in your valuable paper for the following: An item in your issue of February 24, which was taken from The Independent, states: "There is a split in the Christian Science body," and further says: "It is alleged that there are ten thousand who have left the Christian Science Church and joined the new organization, and the number is increasing every day." I am authorized to state, and know of my own personal knowledge, that there is not, nor never has been any split of any kind or nature in The First Church of Christ, Scientist, Boston, Mass. In several of the larger cities, where the Christian Science Church organizations have grown so that the place of meeting could not hold the congregations, they have formed new church societies.
At the last annual meeting of The First Church, the Mother Church, over fourteen hundred new members joined that body.
