The Everpresent Christ

All Bible history, all history of reason and revelation, has established glorious proofs of the eternality and omnipresence of the Christ in every age.

Isaiah (the meaning of which is, salvation of Jehovah), early in his career as a prophet, saw the deplorable, rebellious spirit manifested in the ranks of Israel and Judah against God. He saw the inevitable destruction that would follow, and thus his heart went out to God. After this he had the prophetic vision of the Christ child; he caught a glorious glimpse of the divine idea that must finally come to rule all people and nations, with Peace on earth and good-will to men, for he says, "Unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder." He further says, "The zeal of the Lord of Hosts will perform this."

The definition of the Christ in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker G. Eddy is: "The divine manifestation of God, which comes in the flesh, to destroy incarnate error."
