Neuraliga of the Heart
For years I was troubled with what the doctors called neuralgia of the heart, which caused me great suffering. As I was getting no better, and having heard of some cases that had been healed by a new treatment where no medicine was used, I thought I would try it. I went and was healed, and for a number of years had good health. Some years after, having a very severe illness and there being no Christian Scientists residing where I lived, I had physicians, who did all they could for me, but thought I could not possibly live. I lived, but remained in very poor health, suffering all the time. Finally my physician told me he thought I had a tumor and expressed his desire that I should go to Toronto and have an examination by a specialist there. I did so and was informed I had two tumors instead of one, which were developing rapidly. It was claimed an operation was necessary, and that as soon as possible. Fearing the effects of an operation, my thought turned to the treatment that had healed me before; and meeting another lady who had also been healed by Christian Science, I decided to try the treatment again, before undergoing the operation. A week later I began treatment on the 22nd of April, and continued until the 22nd of May, 1896, when my healer sent me home, a well woman. I have had no medical aid since, and I had no bad after-effects to get over from this treatment, as I should have had if the operation had taken place. It was proven to me that the sword of the Spirit, "which is the word of God" is sharp and powerful.—Mrs. E. J. W., Port Perry, Ont.
