It was an even better home

Years ago my wife and I were renting a lovely house in a very nice and friendly neighborhood. It bordered a golf-course, and was in an excellent school district for our three children. We couldn’t afford to buy our own home at that time, but as the owner of this house was overseas on a long assignment, it looked like we'd have a great deal going for quite a while.

But suddenly our beautiful, peaceful sense of home was threatened.

Just as we were about to renew the lease, the real estate agent told us we would have to vacate the home. The owner had quit his job and wanted the house sold. The agent went all out to find us a new place to live. But nothing we could afford at that time came close to matching the house, the area and the school district that we all loved so much. We were devastated.
