This morning I went in to tidy our son’s room. He is a college student, home for the summer, but he’s away for a few days working.
Before he left, I had asked him to put his room in order so the painter could work in there. As a matter of fact, I'd asked him several times. So as I stood in the middle of the disarray, I felt a bit snarly.
“Am I the only one who can clean up around here?” I thought. Immediately, however, I made a conscious decision to change my tune.
