Prayer that arrests terrorism

Like many people watching televised reports of the July 7 terrorist attacks in London, I was at first angry, not knowing what to do or how to think about what I was seeing.

I didn’t stay in that state of mind for more than a minute or two, though. My prayers for the world since the 2001 attacks in New York and Washington have shown me that it is possible to move past the desire for revenge and yield to the power of God’s all-encompassing love.
