Symptoms of sinus infection gone

My husband and I had agreed to serve on the staff of a camp for Christian Scientists that our daughter was attending. I was really looking forward to serving and being part of such a healing environment. 

Not long after we arrived at the camp and began our duties, I experienced symptoms of a severe sinus infection. I’d experienced these symptoms prior to finding Christian Science. In the past, I’d looked to medical remedies for relief, and usually it could take up to two weeks to feel healthy again.

But since I’d been a student of Christian Science for many years when I joined the camp staff, it was natural for me to turn completely to God for healing. I prayed with the truth that matter has no sensation or power. Spirit, God, is all. I chose to understand that I live and breathe and have my being in God only (see Acts 17:28). I also addressed any sense of fear or inadequacy. Christian Science heals—period. I didn’t have to let any material sensation impress me.
