Not too long ago, I was sitting in the audience watching an especially beautiful ballet. The best thing about this wonderful occasion didn’t happen up on the stage, though. One performer, as he was undertaking something difficult, fell down. A little child right behind me, thinking that it was part of the show, asked her mother, “Why did that man fall down?” The mom whispered, “I don’t think that he meant to.” Quickly, earnestly, and with sweet compassion, the little girl added, “Sometimes I fall down, too!”
