Prayer about austerity in the eurozone
As leaders search for solutions to the euro crisis, austerity seems to be the “new reality,” along with unemployment, higher taxes, and fear over potential job losses. Since the global economy is so interconnected, everyone’s prayers are truly needed, and we will all benefit.
We can begin by affirming the reality of God’s goodness and love for His creation and insist that there is a divine solution. This prayer can bring inspired answers for reducing deficits and creating growth for everyone, not only the eurozone. The miasma that comes from the belief that people face years of cutting back with no growth in sight must be challenged. We need a strong prayerful conviction of spiritual facts about our and everyone’s indestructible relationship to divine Love with its tender parenting care.
The abundance of God is never made powerless in the face of human needs and is neither influenced by overspending nor retrenchment.
