Grateful for improved character, physical healings
It is with the sincerest gratitude that I share this testimony. In 1993 I found Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy in a library in Florida, where I was living at the time.
I subsequently began attending the loving church responsible for placing it there. The members welcomed me with open arms, and were very supportive of my quest for truth.
My religious background included a strict fundamental and literal interpretation of the Scriptures, so I had much learning to undo. A few years after I started to study Christian Science, I took Primary class instruction from a teacher of Christian Science, who saw “the perfect man” where I still saw the “sinner” (see Science and Health, pp. 476–477). Since then, my primary healing has been one of character. I am kinder, more loving and patient, readier to forgive, less critical, and so very joyous. How wonderful it is to have learned that the real man—God’s likeness—never has been, is, or ever will be, sick or sinful.
