Employment lead: ‘stand still’
“Think of Moses.”
Those were the three words my sister-in-law spoke to me when responding to my panicked need for help during an employment crisis.
You may know the wonderful Bible story of how Moses led the children of Israel’s escape from Egypt, away from a life of slavery and bondage. Early in their journey, they faced a seemingly insurmountable predicament. With the Red Sea in front of them, and hundreds of Egyptian chariots and soldiers bearing down fast from behind them, it appeared they had nowhere to go. Yet trusting in God’s care, Moses remained undaunted as he told his fearful followers, “Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which he will shew to you to-day” (Ex. 14:13).
