YOUR LETTERS

I was moved by the article "I was healed of alcoholism" in the June 25 issue. Even though I have never struggled with this addiction personally, I still read the article because I know from past experience with reading articles in the Sentinel, that there is bound to be something helpful in them, no matter what the specific challenge is. I was especially struck with the life-changing effect that one person's inspired thought (the author's husband) can have on another (the author). It made me want to be a better person.

The July 23 Sentinel focusing on children was wonderful! I have found recently that when the Sentinel comes, I am so happy to see it. I often sit down and read the first page, and before I know it I have read through the whole issue, effortlessly. The pictures, the joyful attitude, and the openness of the writers add up to a very believable and useful scientific Christianity. You make it look easy, but I know you put enormous love, prayer, and caring into each issue.
