From Northern Ireland
Words of love that grabbed world attention
Last year I took a trip to Belfast, Northern Ireland. Although I live in England, only a few miles across the sea, I had never visited this beautiful city before. A place with mountains as a backdrop and a sea loch at its feet. An emerald city on an emerald isle.
I was delighted to find that it was not at all gray and somber, as the television news coverage had led me to believe, but vibrant and alive, buzzing with vitality, freshness, and newness. Rebuilding and renovation were very evident.
The beauty of the countryside was only matched by the genuine warmth, friendliness, and hospitality of its people. They were expectant, hopeful, and looking forward to a peaceful future.
