I was very interested in the Herald for teens [of] November 1999. It was very attractive because of its format and topics. Talking about subjects like music and, in particular, the movies, gave the message of the magazine a very contemporary feel.

May God greatly bless all the staff of The Herald of Christian Science. Thank you all, because your magazine is doing miracles.
I want to share a testimony with you. I am in jail, and not long ago I was about to return to my cell, when I saw two Teen Heralds at the door. At first I didn't want to pay attention to them, but I was so curious that I picked them up. I had never read the magazine before, and it didn't even interest me. And when I began browsing through it, I didn't think I was going to find anything for me. Then I saw the writing on the cover. It said: “Can I be accepted for who I am?” and “E-mail to a friend who's depressed.” I felt inclined to read it, and when I read the editorial “Your talents—not just one,” God spoke to me; it was the piece that went deep into my soul. And I want to tell you that I felt the presence of God, and now I am very interested in searching for God. I would like to receive the magazine. I believe that from now on I'll have the inspiration to read it and search for the Lord.
May God bless all of you.

I really loved reading some of the reports of healing in the Herald. They inspired me to write you and let you know how much they've helped me. One time I had a cold, and the testimonies helped me to see that I didn't have to catch a cold, because I am the child of God and I don't have to suffer. I was confident that nothing bad could hurt me. Thank you. I'm 12 years old and I subscribe to the Herald.

I am 15 years old, and I recently read your special teen issue of the Herald. Copies were given out to all of the teenagers in our Sunday School, and we were truly inspired by many of the articles in it. Thank you! It was an excellent idea to publish an issue of the Herald that discussed topics that we can really relate to. It's comforting to know that we're not alone—that there are many people our age that are facing the same problems and issues we are, and are praying to make the right decisions about them. If it's possible, could you please print another issue for teens soon? It would really be great to read more about topics that concern us.

I was very excited when I received the Teen Herald because I could see examples of other teens who, like me, are trying to understand God better and are seeking spiritual answers. Sometimes I feel different and far away from other teens because they don't think or act like me. That's why it was so good to see many others who try not to be influenced by the impositions of society—who know they don't need things like drinks or cigarettes to solve their problems. It was also cool to see that there are people like this in India, Africa, Japan, and other countries. I read the whole Herald. I felt that the girl who wrote the editorial “Your talents—not just one” did it with a lot of love.
My thanks to the whole Herald team.

The November Teen Herald has been a beautiful gift from God for me.
I was really excited to see how other young people, like me, have found that the practice of Christian Science has given them answers to their anxieties and challenges. It gives me strength and hope to know that I'm not the only girl struggling day by day with challenges in society or the world. And above all [it helps to know that] from the U.S. to Paris, from Angola and Argentina, the omnipresence and omniaction of God guides and accompanies us in our path through life.
Congratulations to all who worked hard on this project from God!
