"My arm was totally healed"

One Sunday morning about two years ago, I burned my right arm. It was breakfast time, and I meant to take away a pan of boiling water from the stove. To do so, I pulled on a rag that I was going to use to hold the pan. But I didn't know that the rag was secured with a knot to the side of the stove. By pulling the rag, I knocked the boiling water on my arm.

I started crying and went to see my grandmother. I showed her my arm.

She said, “Remember you are God's reflection, His perfect idea.” But I didn't want to listen to what she was saying. I was still crying.

But then I had the idea of turning to God, because I believe that He's the only source of well-being.

I prayed constantly. Even when the pain kept coming back, I didn't give up. The next week, the pain was gone. But I was checking my arm on and off, to see if the burn was really healing. I had some doubts whether it would ever completely heal.

One day, my uncle encouraged me to see how God had made me. So, I went to my room to read the Bible and pray. I read about how Jesus healed a man with a withered hand (see Mark 3:1-5 ). And then I thought about what Science and Health says: “Man is not matter; he is not made up of brain, blood, bones, and other material elements. The Scriptures inform us that man is made in the image and likeness of God”(p. 475 ).

After that, I understood better that I was God's child. The next day, my arm was totally healed. I'm grateful to God for His great love.
