YOUR LETTERS

"... there are Sentinels all over the emergency room—being read!"

Thank you for the "Mothers and prayer" information in the March 8 Sentinel. Our schools need the kind of prayer for the administrators, teachers, personnel, and kids that this group provides. I hope a nearby minister will start such a group, because we've recently seen the need for this in our own schools and home. A girl who was running away landed at our home, and our prayers, with the help of a Christian Science practitioner, have been such a blessing. In the face of abuse and the resulting confusion that led this child to steal, we have turned to the understanding of the Christ to heal this situation.

An article in the same Sentinel entitled "The day a junco flew into the window" is especially touching. I read it to my daughter as she lay sick on the couch. Its story of the little bird with the broken neck being healed and then flying away with other juncos reminded me of the troubled teenagers who slam into things and then Christ, Truth, restores their purity and frees them to fly away with their group—their teenage friends in this case. We can let them go because they are already free and are in God's protective care wherever they are—just as this bird was.
