When discipline is love
"According To the Bible and psychological theory, discipline is an essential feature of parent/child interaction. It should be administered as part of the parents' love for their child," says Dr. Dan Myers, a child psychiatrist in Texas. Dr. Myers is author of a book: Golden Rules for Parenting—A Child Psychiatrist Discovers the Bible. "It has been my experience that adults who seem the most consistently loving to others ... were raised in homes where discipline was clear, fair and firm."
