Many years ago I was lying in a hammock when one of the ropes holding it broke. I fell directly onto a tree root under the hammock, injuring my back in the process.
A few days later I tried to play tennis but was in a great deal of pain. I couldn't run or hit the ball very well, and I had difficulty bending over. I felt very frustrated, as I was used to being active.
Although I ordinarily handle problems promptly in Christian Science, I must admit I didn't pray about this situation. Instead, I believed that it would just go away, given enough time and rest. Although the trouble subsided some, the problem was not completely healed.
