Whose children are they, anyway?
We are adoptive parents, and we love our children. They were born in different countries than the one we live in, and had different parents, but we are very grateful for this opportunity to raise, nurture, and love them.
There is a question that could usefully be asked of all parents regarding the children they're raising: "Whose children are they, anyway?" And like many parents all over the world, we have looked to this Biblically based answer: They are God's children, the spiritual offspring of divine Spirit. And so are we, the parents. We all have the same parentage, our Father-Mother God.
The understanding of God's parentage has brought our family comfort and healing.
