This past summer I was a camp...
This past summer I was a camp counselor in Maine. At first I was quite uneasy about my summer job prospects. My decision to go to this camp came to me through prayer.
While I was trying to determine the right job for me, whether it be in Texas, my home, or Maine, I came across the Christian Science Sentinel of April 29, 1996, that says "The right job—yours and yours alone" on the cover. It was exactly what I needed. I read the Sentinel a few times and really prayed to understand that the job I would be doing over the summer would not be for personal gain or money, but to glorify God in every way. In that way, I knew that I would be in my right place no matter where I ended up.
As I read these articles, I felt calm, and I listened for spiritual truths and guidance. The thought of going to the camp and being the dance teacher surfaced repeatedly. When I decided to apply for the job, everything fell into place. My travel plans came together instantly, and the money to get there was no longer a problem. I was overjoyed and felt God's comforting presence with me.
