I was once again showing all the symptoms of malaria fever. This had happened to me many times before, and each time I had consulted a doctor for treatment. This time was different, however. I was a very new student of Christian Science.

I had read accounts of various Christian Science healings, and I really desired to be healed like the people whose testimonies I had been reading. I did not know what to do exactly, but I was certain about one thing: I wanted to experience spiritual healing for myself.

I decided to visit a member of the Christian Science Society in our town to ask for help. No sooner had I reached his door than he opened it. He welcomed me in and invited me to join them for lunch. But I had no appetite for any food. I told him the whole story about my sickness. He then asked me exactly what I wanted from him. I told him I wanted him to pray for me to be healed.
