FROM THE Directors
But why?
As more and more people become aware of the expansive communication network this Church operates, it is not uncommon for some to ask, But why? Why would a church invest so much of its resources with so little to gain?
Others ask, Why would a church with so much to share want to hide its message of good news?
The questions center on motive and what is meant by promotion. (We are still learning what our Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, means by unselfed love.) Genuine Church always promotes the good in people, not organizational self-interest. It might surprise some to learn that converting the world to Christian Science is not a goal this Church is comfortable with, but helping as many as possible discover Christianity as the healing, redeeming Science it is, merits all our support.
