At a time in my life when I had many problems, an aunt who is a Christian Scientist invited me to go with her to a few Christian Science lectures and to attend services at a branch church. My aunt gave me religious articles from The Christian Science Monitor. She also recommended that I get in touch with a Christian Science practitioner.
The practitioner was very loving, and we had many talks. It was suggested that I begin my study of Christian Science by reading the first chapter, entitled "Prayer," in Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. The spiritual interpretation of the Lord's Prayer given in that chapter helped me understand God better. Especially meaningful was this passage:
