Many times over the past twenty-five years I have been greatly helped by reading the testimonies of healing in the Christian Science Sentinel and The Christian Science Journal and have been healed at least twice by pondering spiritual insights shared by fellow Christian Scientists in these accounts. I would like to be included in the growing published record of those who have been healed by turning to God and applying the rules of the Science of Christ.

At one time my husband and I were bicycling and stopped to have lunch. While remounting the bike I felt something tear in my knee, and the kneecap separated from the joint. I fell to the ground. When I tried to get up, I couldn't. My husband helped me to a bench and called a Christian Science practitioner to ask for prayerful help. I wanted to rely completely on God. The practitioner agreed to pray for me and asked that I read the allegory found on pages 430–442 of Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. When I got home I did and found it very helpful.

The following week I was able to carry out certain plans made earlier, and after a time I was back to normal activity. It has been over seven years since the experience, and I bike and take part in other strenuous activities with perfect freedom.
