As a third-generation Christian Scientist, I have much to be...

As a third-generation Christian Scientist, I have much to be grateful for. My family's reliance on God for help in every situation during my childhood has been a constant inspiration. My five brothers and sisters and I experienced healings of broken bones, scalding, a severely injured foot, and many other troubles. We also turned to God for help and guidance in academic studies and relationship difficulties.

Several years ago I noticed a large lump under my arm. Before long the lump was quite painful, and the condition became worse. I was unable to raise my arm. I prayed about the condition, and a Christian Science practitioner prayed for me also.

A few nights after I first talked to the practitioner, I went to my mother's home and told her of the trouble. We discussed a number of healings our family had experienced through Christian Science treatment. I left her house with a wonderful sense of the power of God to heal. I slept soundly, and the next morning there was no sign of the lump or the pain. I have been free since that time.
