My mother began studying Christian Science...
My mother began studying Christian Science after her brother's life was saved by Science. His condition had been diagnosed as fatal by the doctors. It reached the point where he was not expected to live through the night. A Christian Science practitioner was called, and treatment through prayer was requested. Not only did my uncle survive the night, but today he is leading an active life.
After this my mother sought healing through this Science for herself whenever the need arose and whenever one of us children was ill. It was several years before my father began to study Science, but his interest evolved as he witnessed our childhood healings. He was healed of smoking as his desire to join the Church of Christ, Scientist, grew.
