Run and pray
As a child, I regularly attended the Christian Science Sunday School. The truths learned both there and at home, of God and my relationship to Him, were many. They provided a strong spiritual foundation, which has guided me throughout my life.
One particular truth, learned from a story, has remained and helped during busy times: Two little girls were on their way to school. They realized they had missed their bus and were already late. The first little girl said: "Oh, we're late. We'd better sit down and pray, so we don't get in trouble." The second child answered, "No, I think we'd better run and pray!"
Often, busy with demands, we become involved in many activities and find quiet, prayerful time difficult to come by. But it is important to pray. We need to, individually. Our community, country, the world—all mankind—need our prayers; and these prayers include our correct identification of God as infinite good, the loving, ever-present Father-Mother of man and the universe.
