Drab, ineffectual, a loser—these words don't really apply to you or to anyone else. The Psalmist proclaimed: "The works of the Lord are great, sought out of all them that have pleasure therein. His work is honourable and glorious: and his righteousness endureth for ever." Ps. 111:2, 3; And, "All thy works shall praise thee, O Lord." 145:10; What an inheritance we all have as the wonderful work of God!
Surely, nobody would be satisfied to live a life of mediocrity if he knew that his true, spiritual heritage is eternal progress and his highest usefulness is witnessing to his Father's wonderful nature.
To actively express the integrity, intelligence, and lovingkindness that characterize our real self as God's spiritual creation is our most important work and inevitably leads us to the career where these, and all the other qualities of God we are expressing, are most needed and will be most appreciated. What employer wouldn't welcome "a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth"? II Tim. 2:15;
