As a regular pupil of a Christian Science Sunday School, I would like to express my gratitude to God for His loving care, and for Mrs. Eddy for giving us the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures.

I would like to relate two healings that I have had through complete reliance on Christian Science. One night I was awakened by a severe pain in my ear. I tried to ignore it and go back to sleep, but the pain persisted. I decided to turn to my Science and Health and read "the scientific statement of being" on page 468. The truths in that paragraph were very understandable, but the pain continued. So I decided to call a Christian Science practitioner, who gave me some helpful thoughts. She made it very clear to me that there couldn't be any pain or aches in the presence of God. It was also brought out that ears are for listening, listening for good—and that God is good. We worked together to understand better that ears represent spiritual perception, and that God-given faculties can't be disturbed. Later on when I spoke to the practitioner, we reasoned that we must close our ears to error and open them wide to good, and then I could no longer be disturbed by suggestions of error.

I also enjoyed listening to a record entitled "Faculties Indestructible," which I purchased at a Christian Science Reading Room. It brought out a very good point from Science and Health (p. 488): "If it were possible for the real senses of man to be injured, Soul could reproduce them in all their perfection; but they cannot be disturbed nor destroyed, since they exist in immortal Mind, not in matter."
