I have been a student of Christian Science for years and have had many healings, including the healing of a fallen stomach. My diet had been reduced to a small amount of liquid and crackers each day, when I glimpsed that God, Spirit, is supreme and matter does not sustain Life, which is God. Then I was well. Thanks to God and to the help of a Christian Science practitioner, I was also healed of a dislocated ankle in twenty-four hours. These two healings came through prayer, when I had just learned about Christian Science. I had much faith in God but did not understand this divine Science much yet.

Today I give thanks to God for a demonstration that occurred after we had enlarged our understanding of Him and His law of love and harmony. For a long time my sister and I had been searching for a peaceful place to live, because where we were living circumstances were so difficult we could neither pray nor study as we wanted to do. We cherished the idea of home in our thought. Time passed and things did not change. We looked at a lot of places, but for one reason or another they did not suit us.

We consulted a practitioner to enlarge our understanding, and she helped us see and understand we could free our thought of fear and anxiety and have more confidence in God. We explained the difficulty we were having in studying in the house, where there was always noise and lack of harmony. She told us the Christian Science Hymnal could help inspire us, and we could carry it with us. In the Hymnal Concordance she looked up for us many hymns that spoke of true home. Each hymn may be regarded as a prayer of inspiration. With this guidance, and a more spiritual concept of home, we found our place. We are living in the new home we had so longed to have.
