I want to take this opportunity to testify to a healing in Christian Science, not only in gratitude but also in wonder at this noble Cause. Since I am advanced in years, it was believed I wouldn't find employment. At one time I was very ill with a respiratory disease.

I had been praying with the inspiration of "the scientific statement of being" (Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, p. 468): "There is no life, truth, intelligence, nor substance in matter. All is infinite Mind and its infinite manifestation, for God is All-in-all. Spirit is immortal Truth; matter is mortal error. Spirit is the real and eternal; matter is the unreal and temporal. Spirit is God, and man is His image and likeness. Therefore man is not material; he is spiritual." This statement has brought to me much spiritualization of thought. An understanding of it, as a clear statement of the premise of Christian Science, healed me of the respiratory ailment.

During this time I received word that I had been accepted as a member of The Mother Church. I felt great joy, which also contributed to my feeling of health and well-being. I found a good job, and when I was required to have a medical examination in connection with this employment, there was no illness found. I feel like a young man and am working with no difficulty.
