MY HOME

God is here with me tonight
And God is out among the stars,
And if at dawn I take my flight
To some far island's lonely shores,
I'll find Him waiting where I come:
His omnipresence is my home.

If, driven by fear or foolish will,
Headlong on barren shores I flee,
Love's flood tides, rolling swifter still,
Will find, enfold, and comfort me.
So I can rest or safely roam
Within infinity, my home.
