HYMN TO GOD THE GIVER

He gives
shape and configuration,
color and substance / sweet savor
of life

His touch is quicker than touch
quickening the apparent dead

He gives love without fear
of loss, He gives
instruction in giving

He fills the hand, informs
the eye, satisfies
the mouth and heart, gives
words that seed
in us and grow to Him
