I have enjoyed the blessings of Christian Science all of my life. It is with sincere gratitude that I testify here to a remarkable healing I had as a child, a pupil in a Christian Science Sunday School.

One summer I suffered severe burns, the aftermath of playing with so-called harmless fireworks. After smothering the flames that had enveloped me, my mother immediately called a Christian Science practitioner and requested treatment. (Later Mother was to spend many rewarding years in the public practice herself.) That first night she sat by my bed and prayed and sang hymns until daylight. All pain left during the first hour of treatment.

In the following two months, while the healing was being completed, I was as happy as any little girl. I was certain that God was caring for me—that Truth was healing me. Today it seems wonderful I was never afraid. The healing was complete in every way, without a scar.
