From Christian Science Committees on Publication

I have read the article called "Religions" (which appeared in the issue of Vlan dated April 17, 1975). The few lines on Christian Science in the article contain an erroneous description.

Christian Science is in no way a spiritist movement. It is a religion founded on the words and works of Christ Jesus, and derives its authority from the Bible. In Christian Science, physical and moral healing come from an understanding of the love of God. The Founder of Christian Science writes: "The prayer that reforms the sinner and heals the sick is an absolute faith that all things are possible to God,—a spiritual understanding of Him, an unselfed love" (Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy, p. 1).
