God Is by My Side

(written at age 11)

One afternoon when I was five, my mother decided to visit neighbors. She asked me if I wanted to go along. But I said "No, I want to ride my bike."

After getting out my bike I had to close the garage door. I thought it would be fun to put my foot on the door handle and ride on the door as it came down. And down it came—right on my other foot!
