Getting to Know the Real You
We can never lose or misplace our true selfhood as the reflection of God, divine Mind. This identity is a permanent, individual manifestation of the good that is Mind, and we express this goodness continually.
If we feel lonely, grumpy, or just plain down in the dumps, it is helpful to realize this is no part of our Godlike selfhood. There aren't two of us—one an unhappy mortal and the other the joyful child of God; there is just one, the perfect reflection of Mind, or Soul. Man is peaceful, satisfied, complete.
We can know more of our true selfhood by getting to know God better. In the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health, Mrs. Eddy has given us synonyms for God that help us understand His rich, inexhaustible nature. God is Mind, and as Mind's reflection we are intelligent and wise; He is Soul, and as Soul's idea we are beautiful and peaceful; as Spirit's manifestation we are substantial and whole; as Life's expression we are active and useful.
