Through understanding God's love and care for each of His children I was healed. This same Christ, Truth, can bring an awakening to everyone.

I had a lump in one breast for over ten years. It did not trouble me consistently but there was pain intermittently. I sought healing through my own prayers and had different Christian Science practitioners help me from time to time. One practitioner asked me to expect healing that day. I honestly could not as the condition seemed real for so long. I felt I would just have to live with it. I was using Christian Science as someone would use a pill, seeking relief from pain.

When I stopped teaching school I had the joy of spending many hours each day in study of Christian Science and prayer to God. This study enriched my nature as I grew to understand Him. I was gaining the Christlike realization of perfect God and perfect man, seeing man as a completely whole, spiritual idea, right now. I reasoned that my true identity or body expressed Soul, and was therefore perfect. There could be no fear in spiritual perfection.
