There Is Always Something You Can Do
I was awakened one morning at six o'clock by my roommate who was suffering severe pain. Quickly I roused myself and declared that divine Love was right there in our room, in control of everything. My roommate asked me to call the college infirmary. This I immediately did, and she was quickly taken to the infirmary. The picture was frightening.
At this point I asked myself, "Is there anything I can do?"
My roommate, whom I loved dearly, was not a Christian Scientist. Therefore I knew I could not give her treatment in Christian Science unless she requested me to do so. But I wanted so much to help. Soon the infirmary called and said my roommate was being transferred to the local hospital for exploratory surgery.
