"God's unerring direction"

How often we think or say, "Let's take a chance and do this" or "There is a chance that this will work out all right." One who wishes to be healed through prayer might reason, "Perhaps if I think or pray in this or that manner, there is a chance I shall be healed."

It might seem, too, that even though we are cautious and law-abiding, our own or another's action could result in our being robbed or hurt. Is there any way to be sure we're safe and secure?

Christian Science teaches that we do not really live by chance. The true world, the universe of Spirit, in which we actually live, is without chance or whim. It is God-directed and controlled, under the continuous law of good. God, divine intelligence, the source of all true action, is infinite Love. He directs each of His children in their expression of His unfolding and progressive good.
