Look and See!

"Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law" Ps. 119:18; was the prayer of the Psalmist. Students of the Bible today—Christian Scientists included—understand the necessity to look to God in order that they may see, and thereby gain, answers to their prayers. Dependence upon Him, faith in His goodness, and willingness to be spiritually renewed are essential. Looking for good is prerequisite to seeing good.

To mortal sense, seeing is a function of the matter body. Through Christian Science we can search for the spiritual truth of the Scriptures that leads away from a material concept of vision to a clarification of true seeing.

Seeing is spiritual action; it is, in its entirety, a God-function. God, the all-seeing Mind, sees all there is to see, and He is all there is to be seen. God, the great I am, is All. His omnipresence and omniscience connote infinite consciousness. His omnivision embraces His ideas and the intelligence by which they are cognized.
