Ideas That Heal
When one needs healing, he can call upon God's infinite supply of spiritual ideas. In response to a sincere desire the idea that comes forth from the divine Mind will heal.
Spiritual ideas are sometimes confused with qualities. A quality of God is an important part of each spiritual idea, but it is not the complete idea. An idea and a quality may be compared, in a way, to an object and its color—a pencil and blue, say. The color might be important, but it is not the complete object. A quality of God is very important, yet it is not a complete idea of God.
Joy, for example, is a wonderful quality of the divine Mind. One becoming conscious of joy, and realizing what the source of joy is, quickly overcomes discouragement. But the idea that God's joy is ever present and ever active in man, when accepted, can awaken one to a sense of joy that literally drives out the feeling of being a victim of circumstances.
