ANSWERING ADVERSITY
"...but there was no sword in the hand of David" (I Sam. 17:50)
Do as David did, friend. View
Goliath calmly. Cool it. You
Wield integrity, your stance
Reflecting Mind's omnipotence.
If fear broadcasts forty days,
Forecasting slavery to hate's ways
Of agony, or greed or grief—
Unsheath no sword. Your sure relief
Lies in one stone, one chosen word
Of living Truth which we have heard
From the beginning when through night
Life gently said: Let there be light.
So, let there be light! Let each prove
that omnipotence is... Love.
