I am very grateful for all the experiences that I have had in Christian Science

I am very grateful for all the experiences that I have had in Christian Science. One that I am especially grateful for happened when I was twelve when my mother and I were in Dublin, Ireland. While we were staying in a hotel, some friends asked us to spend the weekend with them in the country. We packed a suitcase with things we would need for the weekend, and one with things that we wouldn't need, which contained gifts and souvenirs, important papers, and some of our best clothes. This suitcase was locked. The hotel manager said that we could put the suitcase right near the hotel desk. So we did.

When we returned to the hotel, the suitcase was gone. We declared aloud right away that nothing was lost in divine Mind's ever-presence, and that the man God made doesn't steal. We knew that divine Mind would guide us and we would not lack anything that was ours.

We told the hotel manager that the only identification on the suitcase was a fluorescent red sticker. Just at that moment the phone rang on the hotel desk. The manager talked for a while, and after hanging up turned around and, smiling, told us that there was a brown suitcase with a red sticker on it at a jail on the other side of Dublin.
