What Can I Do?
What do I see?
A street that has no beauty,
Yards that are not clean,
Houses and fences
Without pretty colors,
A place where grass and flowers never grow.
Are these pictures the work of God?
Lovely colors come from God.
He is Love,
All He makes is beautiful and pure.
What can I do? I can love God more,
I can love what is good and pure.
Love everywhere,
Good everywhere,
Is God's gift
To all His children.
A corner,
A window,
Will be bright with red and yellow and purple flowers
From seeds I plant today
And tend with loving care.
A broom,
A rake, sweep clean.
Papers and bottles I scoop up
On fast trips to the trash bin.
Soon my house and yard
Are clean and bright.
What can I do?
I can let God's love and purity
Shine right here.
For I'm His perfect child.
