I am very grateful for having been introduced to the study of Christian Science by a dear neighbor over fifty years ago. I have had many healings, and one I cherish very much is the overcoming of the tendency to take cold. I have been free of this tendency for a good many years. I am very grateful for many years of active membership in a Christian Science Society, serving it in many ways, including filling the office of First Reader.

A more recent healing was that of an ugly blemish or growth on my cheek. The Christian Science periodicals were a wonderful help to me in working this out, and I had treatment by a dedicated Christian Science practitioner. She kept reminding me that when I could know myself as God's pure unblemished child and see the growth as nothing, it would be healed. This was a real challenge, because it seemed that in almost every move I would either see or feel it. I had to make a special effort to unsee it mentally. Finally the greater part of it fell off, and the rest kept disappearing until the healing was complete, for which I am indeed grateful.

I am also grateful for Christ Jesus and for his faithful follower Mrs. Eddy for giving us this wonderful religion, Christian Science. Class instruction and the yearly association meeting have blessed me, as have membership in The Mother Church and a branch church.
