Give ear, O Shepherd of Israel, thou that leadest Joseph like a flock; thou that dwellest between the cherubims, shine forth (Ps. 80:1)
Joseph implies Israel; cherubims (or cherubim, the Hebrew plural of cherub): winged creatures with faces: the figure on either end of the ark of the covenant, between which was the mercy seat over which God was thought to appear.
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want (Ps. 23:1)
