Spiritual Sight-seeing
The airliner rose above a heavy cloud layer into clear, blue sky. Passengers exclaimed over the dazzling sunshine, a vivid contrast to the gloomy picture they had so recently seen on the ground.
These passengers had known that the sun was there all the time, but it was a welcome sight. From below, the clouds had looked drooping and dripping; from above, they seemed soft and fluffy.
What changed the picture? The viewpoint. In this case an airplane was instrumental in lifting and changing the point of view. Nothing else had changed.
