going to the city
Little feet, big feet
all walking different.
Big smiles, no smiles.
all talking different.
Little packages of clothes just bought
or daddy's briefcase of paper thoughts
all carried in different arms.
A street of cars
tooting at others
and tall walls
waving to the sky.
All, all busyness.
But that's no reason to forget about love
and joy and happiness too.
Since these are gifts from God,
no one can take them from you;
but you can give them away for free
and still have lots to take to the big city.
